As Nigeria continues to flourish in the creative arts all over the world, the voiceover industry isn’t any different as one of Nigeria’s leading voice-over talents – Oluwaseun Shobo got appointed as an international ambassador for the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences (SOVAS) based in New York, USA. As an international ambassador, he was recently honored in 2022 with the Global Influencer Award and has been working hard to export Nigerian voices and stories to the rest of the world. While speaking with Shobo, he mentioned that he believes Africa is blessed with so much talent that the world should see, hear, and feel. This is why he is so passionate about the voiceover industry as well as the creative economy. Shobo is the founder of Africa’s pioneer voice-over training institute, Voiceover Academy as well as Africa’s largest pool of voices. He also spoke about the forthcoming Voice Over International Summit which is being put together to help voice talents learn from international and local coaches and also provide more insights to contribute more value to the creative industry in Africa.
